Are you ready for winter?
We’ve got a cold weather checklist to make sure you’re staying nice and comfy this holiday season!
Are your furnaces, water heaters, air vents, and fireplaces void of clutter? This can become a major fire hazard in the winter season as we crank up the heat! They need at least two feet of room to operate safely.
If you’re not already in the habit of changing out your air filter every 3 months, it’s time to do it! You may not be able to see the dirt, dust, and grime, but it’s there! With the extra use of your system this season, you’re even more prone to buildup which can be harmful to your health.
Test out your HVAC on cool mornings by setting your thermostat to your preferred winter temperature. If it doesn’t heat or takes longer than normal, you may want to get your system serviced!
Want to know if you’re fully insulated? Take a peak in the attic! If you can see your floor joists, you might want to consider purchasing more insulation for your home before the weather gets any colder!
