Warning Signs You Shouldn’t Ignore

Four Signs It’s Time for A Service

Most people wait until their heating unit has a problem before giving it proper attention. This can lead to costly repairs or time without a comfy home! Unfortunately, most don't know what warning sign means it's time for a professional to take a look.

  • YOUR HOUSE IS COLD! If you have a room or rooms that are hard to heat, while the rest of your home is heating just fine, it could mean that you have a problem with the airflow in your home. This could be caused by leaks in your duct work.

  • BILLS ARE HIGH! If your utility bills are unusually high, it could be the result of several issues. Your filters may need to be changed or the unit needs to be serviced. A dirty unit has to work much harder than a clean unit. Higher utility bills could also be an indication that you may have a ductwork issue.

  • THE HEAT WON’T COME ON! Just when you need it the most, you turn on the heat and it does not come on. This may be a thermostat issue or something that you should have a professional look at. If the screen on the thermostat is blank, first try changing the batteries. Check the breaker and be sure the furnace is plugged in. If this still does not correct the problem, it’s time to call in the experts.

  • IT WON’T STOP RUNNING! If your unit will not stop running, check to be sure you have the fan in the auto position. If that is not the issue, a furnace has many safeties and switches that might cause this problem, but good news—repairs are still quick and easy to repair by a professional.
