Energy Saving Tips

This summer has been a hot one with the extreme humidity and temperatures in the 90’s, and it’s not over yet! Here are some tips to save a buck on your energy bill:

WINDOWS

Try closing the blinds or installing window coverings to keep in cool air during the day while you’re away at work.

THERMOSTAT

Resist the urge to set your thermostat cooler than normal when you first turn on your air conditioner. It won’t cool down your home any faster and could end up costing you in the long run.

FANS

Don’t forget to use those ceiling fans! They can help raise your thermostat a few degrees without reducing your comfort.

APPLIANCES

On hot days, limit the use of equipment that could cause heat build up in your home, such as cooking in the oven, running the dishwasher, or even using a hair dryer.

CHECK-UPS

Don’t forget to schedule regular maintenance appointments for your AC unit!

If you need an AC repair or replacement we’re just a phone call away. See what your monthly payment for a full replacement could be now.
